Invisalign's custom-made acrylic aligners fit snugly, exert gentle pressure, and move teeth into alignment over about 9 to 18 months. Because the aligners are an alternative to metal braces, wires, bands, and springs, patients don't have to endure mouth sores, uncomfortable adjustments, and messy wax. Invisalign trays are removable, as well, so you can take them out to eat, brush, or for special events.
To begin treatment, we have our orthodontist, Dr. Bahram Ghassemi, DMD MSD who will recommend Invisalign or conventional braces. We may take 3-D images of your mouth and use special software to create your full treatment plan. We will send detailed information to a certified dental lab where technicians will generate your series of aligners. Wear each tray for about two weeks before moving to the next one.
